It’s one of my favorite times of the year--apple season! Specifically ORCHARD SEASON! There is something special about biting into your off-the-tree apple vs. a grocery store apple. The juiciness and the the burst of flavor is just something that can’t be beat. Here are two of our favorite orchards.
Pine Tree Apple Orchard in Dellwood is our very favorite orchard. They will be fully open by the time you receive this newsletter! The apples, the baked goods, the pies….it’s all amazing and fresh. This is a locally owned orchard and run by staff and the family. If you go early in the season, you’ll be able to get a bag of “First Kiss” apples--those are my favorites along with Honey Crisp. If you went to the State Fair and stopped for an apple, you would have had an apple grown by Pine Tree Orchard. https://www.pinetreeappleorchard.com/
Another favorite is Apple Jacks in Delano! https://www.applejackorchards.com/ If we are on the west side of town and can’t make it to Pine Tree, then Apple Jacks is our spot. They have an adorable gift shop that smells like fall. Great treats and fantastic apples.
What are some of your favorite apple orchards? I’d love to know where you like to go and why!
